Personal number

The Citizen Service Number (CSN) or Social Fiscal number (sofi number) is your personal number with the Dutch tax authorities. It may be that you need this number even if you don’t live in the Netherlands. For example for your pension or health insurance.

Applications

To apply for a CSN or sofi number, please contact the Tax authorities (Belastindienst) in the Netherlands. Information about this procedure can be found via the link to the Belastingdienst (see right).
