Turkey and ID-card

Although the Dutch ID-card is a valid travel document to use for a trip to Turkey, you can still experience difficulties at the border. When entering Turkey, every foreigner receives a stamp in the travel document. This is not possible on an ID-card. Because of this, our advice is to only travel to Turkey with a passport.
